Meg grew up a farmer's daughter on a tree farm in rural New Jersey that has been in her family since the early nineteenth century. Her passion for living with personality and flair was developed early on as a protégé of her beloved grandmother, a brilliant hostess, and then watching her mother’s career as an innkeeper and event planner in her own right.

After college, Meg’s lifelong passion for bringing people together found expression in working as a professional fundraiser and event planner, including working as the Manager of Special Events at the Morgan Library in New York City. In 2003, she founded Meg Critchell Events to bring that passion, creativity, and sense of fun to bear on behalf of clients interested in a memorable wedding, a one-of-a-kind birthday celebration, and more. She has planned events throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Meg lives and works in Greenwich, Connecticut. When she’s not working with a client, she is probably busy fixing a drink and planning her own next party, preferably one involving her husband, her three sons, and her three dogs.
